Sea Dragon Unit form part of Fareham East District Explorers (FEDX)
We meet at 2nd Fareham HQ on Friday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.

Our hosting Scout Group has a number of boats of various shapes and sizes and we spend a lot of our time in the summer boating on Fareham Creek. If that's not enough we also keep ourselves active with number of hikes and camps throughout the year too.
Oh, and occasional we have fun!

Sea Dragon Unit leaders are Graham Mundie(ESL), Andy Dalrymple(AESL) and Rachel "Wookie" Butcher(AESL)
with Paul James

IBM Bike Ride!

Where on earth were you all?!
A fantastic well done to Graham, Becky and myself for the ride today. 50 laps each is quite impressive I thought!

The Game

The Game

Harry, Robyn, Katie and Mark win the TROPHY!

Once again, not for the first or probably the last time i am going to remind all of you that we won the hike Smiling
Even with several seriously injured teammates, we pulled through.
I think it had nothing to do with my map-reading, which took us to the general right area, even if we did go over the motorway instead of under it!
I still think Robyns sixth sense was rather freaky but I think we would have definetly got lost without it!
We avoided numerous murderers in the West Walk and im sure everyone in the team (and on the hike) Would agree that Sea Dragon had the best base!
Team 4 took a year to put their tent up whilst they all argued. Beside them was Mark and I Gracefully erecting my two man Smiling

That was satisfying.

All in all a good successful hike, although i think we could have gone a bit further Smiling
And maybe not got so muddy: Mark and Robyn.
Or fallen down a mountain: Katy
Or gone the wrong, and incredibly longer, route: Harry
I still dont think my team realise just how much longer we all walked because of that Sticking out tongue

Well thankyouu everyone who was there Smiling
Even the crap teams Laughing out loud

DofE

Hey hey hey everybody, the best team leader of all is going to be running the Duke of Edinburgh Award with you lovely lot... soooooo.... I want EVERYBODY to sign up tonight, you should already have the form from Rachel that you need to get your parents to sign, but if not we will have more tonight.

As Graham mentioned recently, everything that we have been doing recently has been gearing towards getting you suitably 'qualified' to start your DofE... It is a great qualification to have on your Record of Achievement/CV, and as the majority of the unit are going to be doing theirs, I suggest you join intoo to avoid being left out of all the fun stuff!

Loads and loads of what we already do, and what many of you do in your spare time, can count towards your DofE, so there really is no excuse not to join in.

Anyways, I am off to do some proper work now, so any questions or comments leave on here or ask any of us tonight and we will endeavour to answer everything you throw our way (within reason).

Bye bye now.

school

im in school and i cant b asked to do work lol but i have finished my work anyway

Well its been a while!
Why does noone come on here!?
I thought i would write about the young leaders camp for those who didn't go!
Even though the actual course tended to be a bit dull, they had done it really well and it went a lot faster than i expected! With lots of breaks! I think i drank the most amounts of tea i have ever had in one day. They had free tea and biscuits!!
I also had a nice shower Smiling
Both mornings it was icy and we went for a couple of walks in the woods! One morning a couple of us guys went down to the lake to see it frozen over which really was an amazing sight. We found if you jumped on the edge it sent a shockwave through the lake, but Joe jumped too close and slipped in. We then had to sneak him in so we didn't get told off Smiling
Abi would have warmed him up though Eye-wink
In the evenings we played on the wii bigscreen and also watched a very raunchy movie chosen by the lovely Robyn. I think the leaders regretted letting her have the choice. Partly their fault for not knowing what movies they had. Personally i loved the film and had a great time Smiling
It was an amazing weekend, and i think the only reason for that is the amazing people that were there. We met the real Sylar from Heroes, and i made some really good friends as well Smiling And had a great time with some of my bestest friends ever Smiling
We played twister. We played the YesNo game. Which most people suck at. We played a failed game of truth or dare. And generally it was great Smiling
LY YL Smiling
