Sea Dragon Unit form part of Fareham East District Explorers (FEDX)
We meet at 2nd Fareham HQ on Friday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.

Our hosting Scout Group has a number of boats of various shapes and sizes and we spend a lot of our time in the summer boating on Fareham Creek. If that's not enough we also keep ourselves active with number of hikes and camps throughout the year too.
Oh, and occasional we have fun!

Sea Dragon Unit leaders are Graham Mundie(ESL), Andy Dalrymple(AESL) and Rachel "Wookie" Butcher(AESL)
with Paul James

Well its been a while!
Why does noone come on here!?
I thought i would write about the young leaders camp for those who didn't go!
Even though the actual course tended to be a bit dull, they had done it really well and it went a lot faster than i expected! With lots of breaks! I think i drank the most amounts of tea i have ever had in one day. They had free tea and biscuits!!
I also had a nice shower Smiling
Both mornings it was icy and we went for a couple of walks in the woods! One morning a couple of us guys went down to the lake to see it frozen over which really was an amazing sight. We found if you jumped on the edge it sent a shockwave through the lake, but Joe jumped too close and slipped in. We then had to sneak him in so we didn't get told off Smiling
Abi would have warmed him up though Eye-wink
In the evenings we played on the wii bigscreen and also watched a very raunchy movie chosen by the lovely Robyn. I think the leaders regretted letting her have the choice. Partly their fault for not knowing what movies they had. Personally i loved the film and had a great time Smiling
It was an amazing weekend, and i think the only reason for that is the amazing people that were there. We met the real Sylar from Heroes, and i made some really good friends as well Smiling And had a great time with some of my bestest friends ever Smiling
We played twister. We played the YesNo game. Which most people suck at. We played a failed game of truth or dare. And generally it was great Smiling

Presentation evening

Fantastic effort folks, and great to see so many parents there. A big thank-you to all who took part, bonus points all round. Also a special 10 point bonus to Harry H-B (sharper than your average pencil!) for putting together such a brilliant Powerpoint.

It was slightly disappointing though that only 17 explorers turned up - only half the unit - and so only half the parents got to see what we had been up to & more importantly, how our trip to Canada is to be organised and financed. It will be those parents who will be worrying about the cost of the trip, unaware of the extent of our plans for making the trip more affordable.
